Situated on the site of the Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes, London, the Boiler House comprises 54 studio, one and two bed apartments, featuring roof-top gardens and on-site bike store. The central orange staircase recalls the boiler house chimney that used to be located here.
This 5 / 6 storey building achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’ and the CLT superstructure was erected in only seven weeks, overtaking nearby housing projects. According to architects Stride Treglown, “the fully BIM enabled design work paid off: over 80% of the units were sold off-plan.”
