This free-standing mass timber structure was constructed within the historic structure of St Mary’s Church in Lambeth, home to the Museum of Garden History.
The pre-cut cross-laminated timber panels were installed into the aisles of the former church and created a series of spaces for exhibition, group activities, a shop and a café. The project was awarded Building Design Magazine’s Architect of the Year Award for Refurbishment in 2010.
