Role Summary:
Previous experience in Timber Engineering is preferable but not essential.
Development as a specialist Timber Engineer with a focus on Mass Timber.
Structural design of Mass Timber Buildings in compliance with UK Building Regulations at different project stages, including:
Preliminary design and scheme definition.
Elemental, fire and detailed design of timber elements and steel components according to EC5 / EC3.
Overall stability and disproportionate collapse analysis.
Temporary works design.
Site quality inspection of build works.
Holistic design and validation of Mass Timber buildings taking into account aspects of buildability, procurement possibilities, site constrains using advanced technical tools and in-house expertise.
Preparation of engineering deliverables for CLT Structures as part of the project team.
Education & Technical Background:
BSc or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Understanding of Timber Design according to Eurocode 5.
Understanding of the European and UK Design Codes and Regulations.

Autodesk Revit
Cadwork
Dlubal RFEM
Bespoke Tedds & Excel Design tools
