Role Summary:

The Contracts & Project Manager (CPM) is a member of the Eurban office team and is the person responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives within the established contractual parameters.

The role of the Contracts & Project Manager can be described as that of a liaison between the Client, Design Team, Production and the Construction Management team on site.

The Contracts & Project Manager is responsible for negotiating and administering contracts, and ensuring that everyone on the team knows and executes his or her role, feels empowered and supported in the role, and knows the roles of the other team members.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of construction contracts;
  • Administration of contracts; ensuring that contractual procedure is followed and managing the day-to-day running of contracts;
  • Creating clear and attainable project objectives;
  • Liaise with client technical, financial staff and legal teams;
  • Successfully managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders;
  • Develop the project requirements; on-time, within scope and within budget;
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
  • Administer changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate contractual and verification techniques;
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress;
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation;
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/suppliers for successful execution of projects;
  • Inspecting site works;
  • Apply for Payments and track payment applications in conjunction with the Accounts team;
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
  • Report regularly to the team as needed;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/suppliers;
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks;
  • Generally coordinate with office and site management on project status and resource

Education & Technical Background:

The benchmark requirements / preferable profile for Eurban CPM is a quantity surveyor, contracts manager or architect with extensive contracts negotiation and administration experience; technical and design implementation experience; experience with dealing with other trades and principal contractors; familiar with language on site; familiar with RIBA Job Stages, British design standards and regulations.

  • Extensive experience with managing British contracts.
  • Thorough understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work.
  • Knowledge about British design standards and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Projects, Word and Teams
