Role Summary:

The Contracts Manager (CTM) is a member of the Eurban office team and is the person responsible for establishing and monitoring the contractual framework for achieving the project objectives.

This is a part time position.

The role of the Contracts Manager can be described as that of a liaison between the client Contracts team and Eurban.

The Contracts Manager is responsible for negotiating and administering contracts, and supporting the Eurban team in ensuring that duties are executed in accordance to the contract.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Pre-contract duties including review of Tender documentation and the compilation and coordination of Tender returns;
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of construction contracts;
• Liaise with client financial staff and legal teams;
• Administration of contracts; ensuring that contractual procedures are followed;
• Administer changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate contractual and verification techniques;
• Managing project financial matters including Contract Sum definition and monitoring, Loss & Expense, Interim Valuations and Final Accounts;
• Administering change control and managing Instructions and Variations;
• Monitoring projects progress and Programme and administering Extension of Time claims;
• Administering the issuance of Notices and Certificates;
• Liaising with the internal office and site teams on project status and monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
• Inspecting site works;
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Education & Technical Background:

The benchmark requirements / preferable profile for Eurban CTM is a highly experienced contracts manager, contracts administrator, building surveyor or quantity surveyor, with extensive contracts negotiation and administration experience.

• Extensive experience of managing, administering and negotiating British contracts.
• Thorough understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work.
• Good knowledge about British design standards and regulations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Projects, Word and Teams
